Donald Russo, MD, F.A.C.C.
Don Russo is a senior partner of Tennessee Heart & Vascular Institute, P.C., (THVI), a twelve-partner practice located in Hendersonville, TN. Originally known as Southern Associates In Cardiology in 1984, THVI has grown into the largest cardiology group in Sumner and Northern Davidson Counties. Dr. Russo is a graduate of Suny Downstate Medical center in New York, completed his Cardiology Fellowship at the University of Vermont Medical Center and is Board Certified in Cardiology.
 
Dr. Russo serves as the Director of the Cardiac Cath Lab at Northcrest Medical Center (Springfield, TN), Co-Director of the Cardiac Cath Lab at Hendersonville Medical Center and as Treasurer of the EBT Research Foundation (Nashville, TN). Additionally, he is a member of the American Society of Nuclear Imaging and the Society of Atherosclerosis Imaging. He has been recognized by the National Heart, Blood & Lung Institute (NHLBI), for participation in “The Cardiac Arrythmia Suppresion Trial”.
 
Dr. Russo has been widely published in well-known medical journals such as The New England Journal of Medicine, Chest, Circulation, Journal of the American College of Cardiology (JACC) and Radiology.
 
Don Russo lives in Hendersonville and has three children.
